My Week Alone in the Shop 2

This is all of the wedding work I did over the week. This wedding was green, black and white. I did three wristlets and 5 boutonnieres.
This wristlet had a cool butterfly pin the family wanted attached to one of the corsages. I really liked it.

This wedding's colors were purple and teal. I did 10 boutonnieres. I'm not a huge fan of carnation boutonnieres, but this was their request.
and 2 corsages.
I did my cousin Rebecca's wedding flowers. Her colors were red, black and white. Groom's Boutonniere
Father's Boutonniere
Mother's Corsage
I cut the stems before I sent the bouquet out, but this is before they were cut.

Easel Spray

This was my first easel spray. I had a hard time getting the shape and the size right. There is still a ball like mass in the center, but overall it looked good.

July Arrangements

Fourth of July arrangement

This arrangement didn't photograph very well, it was really cool, the plumosa fern gives a nice sweeping line at the bottom and the flowers form a nice spire.

Casketspray

I did my very first casket spray. I was really scared to do it, but once I got started I think it turned out well.

Elaine Trail Wedding

We did a big wedding in May, the family had experienced a near tragedy in which the father nearly died and all the wedding money was used to pay for the medical bills. A year later, many businesses worked to help make their dream wedding happen. We did the whole wedding for only the cost of flowers. See more of her story here.

Funky Budvases

We have a few other businesses that help us advertise by putting weekly arrangements in their stores. Here are a couple of the ones I made.

Mother's Day

These are a few of my original designs from Mother's Day. Most of the orders were bloomnet orders so we had a recipe to follow, these I had creative freedom on I was given a color theme or a specific flower to build the arrangement from.
The purple arrangement.
The red arrangement.
The bright, springy arrangement with gerbera daisies.

Garden Style Arrangement

One popular to arrange flowers is known as the "garden" technique or style. It involves grouping flowers together to look like a manicured garden. I really like the bold statement it makes, while still looking semi-natural.

Prom 2009

We made tons of corsages and boutonnieres for prom this year. One weekend we had about 100 orders. This is one shelf of 4 in the cooler filled with the orders. All of the corsages were wired and taped with the bows and ivy leaves, then flowers and accessories were glued in the day before prom.
I specially made this boutonniere for my sister. She had a black and white polka-dot dress with a red sash.

I had a lot of fun trying new accessories. I started color tooling the daisies.

We had no red spray roses, so we rolled red rose petals. I think it gave the corsage a cool look.
